Entrepreneurial Spirit -Inconvenient Product

When someone looks at the video with the young woman that is going around on social media I was thinking that we have to do better. When I began to take a closer look at what she was saying and her mentality is no different than the young entrepreneur who creates a start-up in a new industry, a stockbroker on Wall Street, a young athlete training hard to go into the NBA or NFL.  The mentality is the same and The Hamilton Institute wants to redirect its efforts in the right direction. The benefits of redirecting the economy from indirect to formal will unleash untold benefits not only for these communities but for the economy on the whole.

Transforming the community’s economy from indirect to formal will help these communities be able to reduce poverty, repair schools, reduce crime and generally improve the outlook for the members of the community. The products of an indirect economy (drug, gun-running, prostitution, numbers, and other items) become the first and sometimes last option for many underserved communities.

The Hamilton Institute offers options that create a better alternative than going to prison, horrible runs with police, and the criminal justice system.

This is the best way to combat inequalities.

Founding Purpose: We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity.”

The mechanism for achieving this goal is Capitalism and Democracy.

Creating the “More Perfect Union”2015-10-11_11-51-23

The first step to understanding Capitalism and how it works is to understand money and how money works. It is impossible to become wealthy in a capitalist system if you do not understand capitalism and think it is a dirty word. It is also important to note, that if you do not understand capitalism, it is impossible to understand democracy; because democracy is the gateway to making capitalism work for you.

If our democracy is to become effective it is important to teach capitalism to everyone, so that we as citizens would elect representatives who are dedicated to making capitalism work for each citizen. Our goal is to ensure that the common people, working together, become an exceptional civilization. We want you to join us as we attempt to educate each citizen parent in implementing the moral science goals set-forth by our Founding Fathers. EDUCATION BE PRAISED: POLITICS BE DAMNED!

Founding Purpose: We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity.”

Renewing the Journey to the “More Perfect Union”

This is not just another blog to present a liberal or conservative viewpoint. One need only look at congress and the government in general to see that we are presently at a stalemate in our progress to creating the founding of our nation as mandated by our founders and stated in the preamble to the Constitution. Let us take a moment and ponder the significance of this part of our principle founding document.

Founding Purpose

“We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity.”

These words are not just oratorical flourishes; they have meaning and serve a purpose that is indispensable to our personal as well as national identity. I would go so far as to say, that these words not only define us as individuals and as a nation, but it defines something that is more expansive and encompassing. I would strongly suggest and defend the proposition that the preamble to the constitution gives meaning to the very existence of American Exceptionalism. Founder Franklin articulated this best when he said…

“Oh! that moral science were in as fair a way of improvement; that men would cease to be wolves to one another; and that human beings would at length learn what they now improperly call humanity.”

There is no more refined socioeconomic enumeration of moral science than the words that encapsulates the essence of our nation and our individual identity. When we reduce the words of our Preamble to the irreducible, we find our true moral identity; it is this identity that is the essence of our moral compass and ethical mechanism.

Founding Moral Law

1. Establish justice (“for all”)

2. Insure domestic tranquility (“for all”)

3. Provide for the common defense (“of all”)

4. Promote the general welfare (“of all”)

5. Secure the blessings of liberty to our posterity and ourselves. (“for all”)

Today, we stand at a threshold. Conservatism seek to calcify the past and liberalism seek to liquefy the future. This is the critical stage where we are stuck. There is but one way out. We must go to our founding essence and seek to understand the next step in our progress to that more perfect union. That next step is the eradication of disease and poverty. These are issues around which we must Colace. In so doing we will find our moral compass and begin anew the journey to that more perfect union.
